Delivery & Collection

Version 3 · Last updated 30 October 2026

1. Delivery and collection

We offer delivery and collection. The method chosen is shown on your order. Where collection is chosen, we will confirm the collection point and time with you.

2. Lead times

Lead times depend on the product. Stocked items, supplier lead times and imports differ. Lead times shown on the website, in quotations or in correspondence are estimates based on the information available at the time, not guaranteed dates, unless we confirm a date in writing as a fixed commitment.

3. Delivery charges

Delivery charges are quoted per order and depend on the item, its size, the destination and access. Charges are shown in your quotation or invoice before you pay.

4. Delivery addresses and access

Please give a complete delivery address with access details: floor, lift, stairs, gate codes, site contact and permitted delivery hours. If access is unsuitable for the vehicle or the equipment, redelivery or additional handling may be charged. Someone authorised to receive the goods should be present.

5. Receiving goods

Inspect the goods on delivery before signing. Check the number of items, model numbers and visible condition. Signing for goods confirms receipt; it does not confirm that goods are undamaged or correct where damage was not reasonably discoverable at that moment.

6. Damage or shortage

If goods appear damaged, incorrect or short:

  • •do not install, connect or commission them
  • •note it on the delivery document where possible
  • •contact us promptly with photographs of the packaging, labels, the product, the damage and the serial number
  • •keep the packaging where possible

Your rights in respect of defects that could not reasonably have been discovered are unaffected.

7. Installation is separate

Delivery does not include installation or commissioning unless your quotation says so. Installation and site requirements are covered in our Terms and Conditions.

8. Collection

For collections, bring your collection reference and identification. If a third party collects on your behalf, give them written authorisation. Goods are released once payment and any required approvals are in place.

9. Delays

We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as supplier delays, customs, transport disruptions, severe weather or electricity load shedding, but we will keep you informed and give revised estimates.

10. Contact

Delivery queries: hello@the-fbc.co.za or +27 61 256 1101.

Goods are supplied by The Cheff (Pty) Ltd, trading as The Food Business Collective (FBC).
